Antonio Brown and Odell Beckham Jr. could each be considered the NFL's best wide receiver, but they aren't territorial when it comes to each other's attempts to reach the top.
Brown's served as a mentor for Beckham throughout his career, and the two share a clear bond off the field as well.
The Pittsburgh Steelers superstar told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler he's pushing Beckham to become the best player he can possibly be, even though they're in direct competition for All-Pro honors every year. They offer feedback on each other's games, even trading video clips of their offseason work.
"Everybody's coming ... That's what makes the game competitive and amazing," Brown said to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "A guy like Odell Beckham is a game-changing guy, trying to unlock the codes. One of my close friends. I always tell him, keep coming."
Beckham and Brown swapped jerseys after the Steelers defeated the New York Giants 24-14 last December.
Brown, who has been named a first-team All-Pro in each of Beckham's three seasons, offered him another piece of advice Tuesday.
"If you want to be the best, you have to strive to be the best and sponge off everything," Brown said.
