Baltimore Orioles starter Dylan Bundy struck Trout out looking in the first inning, but Trout was ready for him in the fourth when he stroked a double for the 1,000th hit of his still young career.
With the hit, Trout becomes only the fourth player in MLB history to tally 1,000 hits, 500 runs scored, and 500 walks before his age-26 season, according to the team. Among still-active players, only Miguel Cabrera was younger when he reached this early milestone, according to ESPN Stats & Info.
Breaking it down further, Trout has 579 singles, 192 doubles, 39 triples, and 190 home runs over parts of seven seasons.
