Kenny Easley used his platform at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony Saturday to address police brutality and racial issues in the United States.
The former Seattle Seahawks safety expressed his support for the Black Lives Matter movement but followed it up by immediately declaring "all lives matter."
"Please allow me this opportunity and this moment for a very serious message for which I feel very strongly about. Black lives do matter! And all lives matter, too," Easley said.
Easley's comments were viewed by some as tacit support for Colin Kaepernick, who remains unsigned amid his protests against racial inequality.
