Report: Yankees, D-Backs among teams on Bruce's no-trade list

Now that Jay Bruce has reportedly cleared revocable waivers, the New York Mets can work on trading their outfielder, but negotiations may be limited to 21 teams as the slugger has an eight-team no-trade list that includes the New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Also included on the list are the Philadelphia Phillies, Miami Marlins, Minnesota Twins, Oakland Athletics, Tampa Bay Rays, and Toronto Blue Jays.

Bruce would reportedly likely approve a trade to a contender, which the no-trade list indicates. That would suggest Bruce would consider waiving his no-trade clause to join the Diamondbacks or Yankees - two listed teams that appear to be in the postseason hunt.

Along with Bruce, fellow Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson also reportedly cleared revocable waivers, and both could feature prominently in the August trade market.

Bruce is putting together arguably the best season of his career, slashing .260/.324/.528 over 101 games. The three-time All-Star is posting a career high in OPS and is just five home runs shy of tying his personal best mark of 34 set in 2012.
