Mikey Garcia was able to walk into the Barclays Center and keep his perfect winning percentage alive, as he defeated Adrien Broner by unanimous decision Saturday night.
Garcia dominated the early stages of the fight, setting the pace for what would be his eventual victory. Broner was able to make a charge in the later rounds, but it proved to be too little too late as Garcia took home the convincing victory.
Garcia was able to land 244 punches in the contest, comprised of 152 power shots and 92 jabs. Broner was able to land just 125 punches across 12 rounds.
With the win, Garcia moves his overall record to 37-0, while Broner sees his record drop to 33-3 with a lone no-contest.
