Chargers' Williams denies report he could miss season with back injury

Los Angeles Chargers first-round receiver Mike Williams denied reports that he may require season-ending back injury for a herniated disk on Saturday.

"I'm good. Everything good," Williams said Saturday when asked about his health, according to James Palmer of NFL Network. "The back situation. That was some false information being released. I don't know who released it, but everything is good."

Williams was diagnosed with the injured back on the first day of rookie minicamp and did not participate in any other offseason activities.

Reports also said that the 22-year-old is expected to start training camp on the PUP list, which wouldn't keep him from playing by the beginning of the season. Williams was reportedly given a second epidural to help him through the pain of the herniated disk.

The seventh overall pick did not specify if the details of the reports were also incorrect.
