Over two years after he fell to Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier still can't help but poke the bear.

With their long-awaited rematch just 12 days away, the reigning light heavyweight champion took to Instagram on Monday to throw a little shade at his bitter rival, vowing to even the score with "Bones" while taking a jab at the former titleholder's recently expired USADA-sanctioned suspension:

It didn't take long for the post to draw Jones' ire. The 29-year-old responded with a handful of comments taking aim at Cormier's build and grappling acumen and even referred to him as "Danielle."

"DC," however, pointed to some cracks in Jones' foundation and questioned his manhood in the rebuttal, alluding specifically to his foe's admitted use of sexual enhancement pills:

As if alleging Jones' plumbing was defective wasn't enough, Cormier threw in a few more scathing tweets:

Jones abandoned the witticisms in what appeared to be the final strike in his latest exchange with Cormier:

The pair of light heavyweights will duke it out in the main event of UFC 214 on July 29 at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
