Kintzler goes from Twins to Nationals
Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports
The Washington Nationals have added yet another arm to an already improved bullpen.
The club acquired right-handed reliever and 2017 All-Star Brandon Kintzler from the Minnesota Twins for pitching prospect Tyler Watson, the Twins announced.
Additionally, the Twins will receive an unknown amount of international pool money in the deal, according to Chris Cotillo's SB Nation.
The 32-year-old Kintzler, who's slated to become a free agent at season's end, has enjoyed a breakout campaign so far in 2017. In 44 games, he's pitched to a 2.84 ERA and converted 27 saves this year - second-most in the American League.
