It's Hugh Freeze's turn to meet the press Thursday at SEC Media Days, and the Ole Miss coach could be in for a long day thanks to a lawsuit that dropped on Wednesday.

Former Rebels coach Houston Nutt filed a lawsuit in federal court alleging that Freeze and the current Ole Miss administration attempted to smear his name and place the blame on him for the ongoing NCAA investigation into the program.

While Freeze didn't offer much when discussing the lawsuit, he did admit he wasn't big on the timing of the filing.

"Disappointed in the time it came out for sure. I have great respect for Houston but can't comment on it because it is a legal matter," Freeze told Barrett Sallee of CBS Sports. "I'm not concerned right now. I'm not made to worry about things that far that are out of my control."

Freeze's appearance at SEC Media Days was bound to be filled with drama, as the NCAA investigation has the potential to cripple the program. Ole Miss already imposed a bowl ban on itself this season in hopes of receiving some leniency in return, but that might not matter in the end.

Perhaps the biggest charge from the NCAA is that the school lacked institutional control, essentially saying Ole Miss ignored the rules that must be followed. If that charge holds, it wouldn't be shocking to see Freeze lose his job as Ole Miss attempts to rebuild the program.
