There are 4 teams DeAngelo Williams wouldn't sign with

Now having concluded his brief stint in the world of wrestling, DeAngelo Williams intends to continue his NFL career.

A 34-year-old running back typically needs to be patient and remain open to all opportunities, and for the most part, Williams is doing that - with a caveat.

The veteran ball-carrier is confident a team will look his way when injuries strike, telling ESPN's Adam Schefter, "Whether it's the Pittsburgh Steelers, whether it's somebody else, I know that there's 28 teams out there that could use my services."

Asked to clarify, Williams reiterated that he's open to re-signing with the Steelers, but has already crossed four teams off his list.

"I'm not ruling it out," he said. "But I did rule out four other teams."

Williams declined to identify the quartet of clubs, but agreed to reveal his "automatic no" teams after a poll is posted on ESPN allowing fans to make their guesses.

Injuries and a healthy Le'Veon Bell significantly limited Williams' usage and production last season, with less-than-ideal effects on his value on the open market.

Interested teams may be encouraged by his promising output the year prior, however. He finished the 2015 campaign with 907 rushing yards, 367 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns across 16 games.

That impressive rushing total was Williams' best since 2009, his fourth season after initially landing with the Carolina Panthers as a first-round pick.

"Me, considering myself a reliable football player - I'm not going to say a reliable running back, I'm going to say a reliable football player - I know that somebody out there feels as if they can depend on me," Williams said.
