No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz enjoyed an impressive summer league debut filled with several highlight-reel plays.

The new lead guard for the Philadelphia 76ers compiled 17 points and three blocks in a 89-88 loss to the Boston Celtics, who passed on Fultz by trading out of the top pick.

Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant was watching closely and Fultz passed the eye test. Durant was especially impressed by one of Fultz's jumpers to begin the game.

Fultz showed a knack for creating his own shot, although he flubbed a few layups that left his shooting line at a paltry 6-for-16. He was able to use his footwork to create unique angles to get open and was consistently able to get to the basket.

The 19-year-old Fultz also showed a strong work ethic on defense, which wasn't listed as one of his strong points coming out of college. Fultz recorded three blocks, but none more impressive than the one below.
