Ricky Rubio's days in Minnesota could be numbered.
The Timberwolves remain intent on trading the 26-year-old point guard after acquiring Jimmy Butler from the Chicago Bulls last week, league sources tell ESPN's Marc Stein.
Minnesota is currently in desperate need of shooting, with Rubio, Butler, and Andrew Wiggins all projected to be starters next season.
Rubio is coming off a solid season with the Timberwolves, averaging 11.1 points, 9.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.7 steals, while shooting 40.2 percent from the field.
Minnesota will reportedly target free agents Jrue Holiday, Jeff Teague, George Hill, and Derrick Rose should it manage to find a suitable trade partner for the 6-foot-4 Spaniard.
