Nobody is safe in New York, not even The Unicorn.

New York Knicks president Phil Jackson is preparing to listen to trade offers for franchise center Kristaps Porzingis, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical on Tuesday.

Rival executives, shocked that the Knicks would even entertain offers for the 7-foot-3 Latvian sensation, are reportedly rushing to arrange proposals.

The Knicks may have a Porzingis replacement picked out in Finnish center Lauri Markkanen, who will likely be available with the No. 8 pick in Thursday's draft. Jackson reportedly met with Markkanen in New York on Monday.

Porzingis is the Knicks' best and perhaps only appealing trade piece outside of future draft assets.

Tensions have been brewing between the Knicks and Porzingis following two miserable seasons in the Big Apple. Porzingis reportedly skipped his exit meeting due to frustration with the team's dysfunction, and a subsequent meeting between Porzingis' agent and the organization apparently proved largely fruitless.

He also tweeted out his love for the Los Angeles Clippers in May, although then said he'd been hacked. Despite all this, the Knicks haven't tried to contact Porzingis this summer, Wojnarowski reports.

Porzingis averaged 18.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and two blocks in 32.8 minutes per game as a sophomore. He is the ultra-rare center who can defend the rim while also being versatile enough to stretch the floor and score inside.
