After trading the No. 1 pick to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Boston Celtics worked out former Duke standout Jayson Tatum for the first time on Monday, a league source told ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
The Celtics now hold the No. 3 pick in this week's draft, and plan to use the selection on the player they would've drafted first overall.
Tatum reportedly impressed the Celtics with his footwork and shot-making during the workout.
The 6-foot-8 forward is coming off a strong season with the Blue Devils, averaging 16.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 45.2 percent shooting.
Boston is reportedly also considering taking Josh Jackson with the pick.
