The pair of shield logos represent the biggest change from the former suite. According to the press release, the secondary logo featuring the "C" in a shield depicts "the Cavaliers' commitment to Defend the Land" and "evokes the spirit of a modern defender."
The wordmarks are quite different, as well. Described as aggressive, they're meant to show the "substantial progress of the franchise," which won its first-ever championship last year and will defend it in the NBA Finals, which begins Thursday.
