They don't call defensemen "rearguards" for nothing.
Anton Stralman had quite the wisecrack when asked about goaltender Henrik Lundqvist joining him with the Swedish national team at the ongoing World Championship.
"I'm looking forward to having him on my team again," the Tampa Bay Lightning (and former New York Rangers) blue-liner told NHL.com's Brian Hedger on Thursday. "He can watch my nice ass flying around down the ice."
Stralman and Lundqvist were Rangers teammates from 2011-12 until 2013-14, and both have represented the Tre Kronor multiple times on the international stage.
Still, we won't truly get to the bottom of this until Lundqvist responds.
