Report: Jets' Anderson charged with resisting arrest at music festival
New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson has been charged with a felony count of resisting arrest with violence, as well as obstruction of justice, after an incident Sunday at a music festival in Miami, sources told Andy Slater of WINZ-AM.
Anderson fought with security after being told to vacate the premises, according to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY. He didn't comply when an officer told him to sit down, and "continued to fight with police and security" upon being taken to the ground.
The Jets confirmed Anderson has a "pending legal matter," but didn't reveal any details about the second-year wideout's arrest.
"We are aware of the situation," the Jets said in a statement, according to Kimberley Martin of Newsday. "This is a pending legal matter and we will have no further comment at this time."
An undrafted free agent in 2016, Anderson emerged from the Jets' receiving corps, catching 42 passes for 587 yards and two touchdowns,
