Report: Vadim Shipachyov fielding big offers, will not sign with Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens have signed one prominent KHL free agent, but appear to have swung and missed on another.
Russian forward Vadim Shipachyov will not be signing with the club, as he's believed to be "fielding some big offers" from other teams instead, according to Eric Engels of Sportsnet.
Shipachyov, 30, had 76 points in 50 games this year. Habs were interested in him last year, but a clause in his contract kept him in KHL.

Montreal did, however, announce the signing of defenseman Jakub Jerabek to a one-year contract on Monday.
Shipachyov, 30, went undrafted by NHL teams, and has recorded 137 goals and 275 assists for 412 points in 445 career KHL appearances.
