Report: Broncos' Siemian received invite to Pro Bowl

Isaiah J. Downing / USA TODAY Sports

Being invited to the Pro Bowl really doesn't mean that much any more.

After going through an offseason of anonymity in 2016, Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian had a very mediocre first year as a starter, but was still invited to attend the NFL Pro Bowl, reports Mike Klis of 9News.

Siemian had to turn down the invite due to injury, adds Klis.

The second-year pro tossed 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions as well as 3,401 passing yards - the 24th-highest total in the league - this season while leading the Broncos to their first playoff miss since 2010.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton was named as Tom Brady's replacement for the festivities in Orlando on Monday, presumably being asked after Siemian.
