Jabrill Peppers may spend the rest of his life pondering what could have been had Michigan held on to beat Ohio State.

The star linebacker told "The Rich Eisen Show" on Tuesday that he still hasn't come to grips with the double-overtime loss at Ohio Stadium on Nov. 26, which cost the Wolverines an opportunity to reach the College Football Playoff and compete for the national championship.

"I didn't talk for about a week," Peppers said, according to Angelique Chengelis of The Detroit News. "I'm still not over it. I'm never over a loss until we win again."

Peppers, a Heisman Trophy finalist, may not get a chance to avenge that particular defeat, as he's widely expected to declare for the 2017 NFL Draft after Michigan's bowl game against Florida State.

When asked about his future in Ann Arbor, Peppers insisted that he hasn't thought about it one bit, and is instead spending his time preparing for the Orange Bowl.

"I want to talk to people after the game, see what they think my best move should be," he said. "I'm not going to be thinking about that right now. I'm just trying to focus on the best preparation I can for this great Florida State team we're playing."
