White: 'It's winding down for Ronda'

Dana White is ready to say goodbye to one of his prized talents.

The UFC president spoke to TMZ on Tuesday and he confirmed Ronda Rousey's statement that she could be wrapping up her fighting career soon.

"I knew," said White. "Listen, I don't want to take the wind out of her sails - let her say her own stuff - obviously, I know what's going on with her, but it's winding down for Ronda."

Rousey is set to return from a 13-month hiatus when she challenges women's bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes in the main event of UFC 207 on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas. Win or lose, it's unclear how many more times Rousey plans to compete, and White wasn't shining any light on the subject.

"That's up to her to say."

Since losing her UFC title to Holly Holm last November, Rousey has stayed out of the spotlight, at least compared to a hectic 2014-2015 stretch that saw her featured in several major Hollywood films. White expects her to plant both feet firmly on the silver screen when she steps away from the Octagon for good.

"Ronda Rousey's made a lot of money. She accomplished what she set out to do," said White. "You get to a point especially in this business when you have to start looking at things and going - she loves acting, she's good at it, and if she dedicates herself to it she'll be even better at it.

"I think when she says she's done, she's done, because at the end of the day she stopped doing judo," White continued. "She moved on to mixed martial arts and I think when she's done with that she'll probably move on to acting."
