Knicks' Marshall Plumlee: Makes 15-man roster
Plumlee earned a spot on the Knicks' 15-man roster heading into the regular season, Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis:
Though veteran Lou Amundson was signed to a fully-guaranteed one-year contract, he's essentially tapped out his potential this point, so the Knicks opted to favor upside and keep the 24-year-old Plumlee, a 7-foot-1 shot blocker, over him. Plumlee isn't quite as skilled as his brothers, Miles and Mason, who were both former first-round picks, but his immense size could occasionally allow him to see the floor as a rookie. However, expect him to remain out of coach Jeff Hornacek's rotation to begin the season.
