Chris Long breaks phone, forced to live 'like it's 1987'
NFL players, they're just like us.
New England Patriots defensive end Chris Long tragically smashed his phone over the weekend and was forced to live his life as if it were the pre-technological dark ages of the 1980's.
Accidentally hulk smashed my iPhone yest. Screen shattered. Been living like its 1987. Set up a taxi last night for this AM on a land line.

Long resorted to yelling at Siri - a concept no one in the 80's would've understood unless it was explained using "The Jetsons" as a reference point - but worse, toyed with the idea of loudly name-dropping new teammate Rob Ninkovich.
Can't even unlock it. Actually sliced my finger trying. I just scream at Siri and she dials 911 and other helpful things that I didn't ask 4

Or I have to do awkward stuff like yell "CALL ROB NINKOVICH" at the airport. Ppl look like "we get it you know rob ninkovich" Nah.

Finally, Long will have to wait until Tuesday to get his phone fixed:
So it's difficult finding a place that fixes iphone screens on Memorial Day because you'd have to use the telephone to call them.
