Bisping: If you believe in Jesus, you can believe I can KO Rockhold

Michael Bisping has an interesting message for those who doubt him: If you can believe Jesus walked on water, then you have to believe that I can beat Luke Rockhold at UFC 199.

While "The Count" admitted during an interview on Sirius XM on Wednesday that he isn't someone of significant religious beliefs, he said that because of the miraculous things that some believe have occurred, people shouldn't write off his chances of winning the belt.

"To be honest, I'm not a deep, spiritual person," Bisping said, according to Lewis Mckeever of bloodyelbow.com. "Things have been happening in my life recently where I've started to think, 'Maybe things do happen for a reason.' I was given this opportunity and I'm going to take it. I plan on going out there and winning, believe you me.

"Listen, I'll put it like this. If people can walk around - and I don't mean this in a disrespectful way to religious people - and you believe the son of God came down to Earth 2,000 years ago, and he killed himself for our sins, and he can walk on water, and there's a God up there looking after ourselves, and if you get on your knees and pray to him that things will change, if you can believe that, then you can believe that I can knock the f--k out of Luke Rockhold two weeks from Saturday."

Bisping was awarded the first title shot of his career after Chris Weidman was forced to drop out of the main event due to a herniated disk in his neck.

He will face Rockhold for the middleweight title on June 4 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
