Clemson's Dabo Swinney: 'Nobody believes in this team'
Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports
Football coaches are always looking for ways to motivate their team, but Clemson's Dabo Swinney may have gone overboard following Thursday's Orange Bowl win against Oklahoma.
Following the Tigers' 37-17 victory clinching a berth in the National Championship, Swinney met with ESPN's Holly Rowe and made the questionable claim that "nobody believes in this team."
Clemson entered the game as the No. 1 team in the country, a position they have held since the CFP rankings dropped in early November, so claiming nobody believes in them is an interesting comment to say the least.
