Report: USC reached out to Chip Kelly regarding head-coaching position
Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports
USC captured the Pac-12 south Saturday, punching its ticket to the conference championship game, but the Trojans are still in the market for a permanent head coach.
Despite growing support for interim coach Clay Helton to keep the job, NFL Network's Ian Rappaport is reporting the school has reached out to Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly about the head-coaching position.
Despite the former Oregon coach's denial of a return to the college ranks, his previous success in the Pac-12 definitely makes him an attractive candidate for the Trojans gig.
