Northwestern lost more than its first game of the season at Michigan on Saturday, as cornerback Matthew Harris will be out for the "forseeable future," head coach Pat Fitzgerald told reporters Monday.
Harris was carted off the field after taking a knee to the helmet while attempting a tackle.
Fitzgerald said Harris suffered "a couple of broken bones to the face," and there's no timeline for a possible return.
The junior has started every game for the Wildcats this season, recording 25 tackles and three interceptions.
