BYU quarterback Taysom Hill will miss the rest of the season after breaking his leg against Utah State Friday.
Hill was carted off the field in the second quarter Friday night after he was tackled attempting to run the ball.
"It was really difficult to watch Taysom go down," said head coach Bronco Mendenhall. "Our execution will now have to be better from top to bottom because of Taysom's ability to create. There just isn't another Taysom Hill out there anywhere."
He is scheduled for surgery Saturday and will be out three to four months.
The junior quarterback has thrown for 975 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions this season while rushing for 463 yards and eight touchdowns on 86 attempts.
