Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian believes everyone doubted his team could go to Missouri and win Saturday.
"Our guys, they're not naive to noise," Sarkisian said after the Longhorns' 34-20 victory, according to On Texas Football's CJ Vogel. "As much as I would love to say they tune it all out, and we try our best to do that, I could hear the talk getting on the plane yesterday."
He added, "Nobody believed we'd win the game. Nobody thought we were gonna come here and win the game. Nobody thought we were tough enough at the line of scrimmage. Everyone thought we'd get pushed around."
Texas closed as 2.5-point favorites over Missouri. Additionally, the Longhorns were ranked higher than the Tigers in the latest AP Poll and the first College Football Playoff projection.
Sarkisian also called his players "big-game hunters," referring to Texas' six-game winning streak against ranked opponents, which is the longest in college football.
As Missouri approached midfield with a chance to tie the game tie at 27 with under two minutes remaining, Texas defensive back Warren Roberson hit a Tigers receiver and popped the ball up, leading to an interception. The Longhorns scored a touchdown on their next possession, all but icing the game.

Texas quarterback Arch Manning played arguably his best game of the season, throwing for 297 yards with three touchdowns and no turnovers.
The Longhorns put up 401 yards of offense and posted their second-best EPA/play mark of the year, according to TruMedia.
Texas improved to 7-2 on the season and will look to win its fourth straight game against LSU next weekend.
