WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Quarterback Frankie Weaver passed for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass, and Monmouth defeated North Carolina A&T 21-17 Saturday to clinch at least a share of the Coastal Athletic Association title with its seventh consecutive win.

Weaver collected a 4-yard pass from wide receiver Tra Neal for a 14-0 lead early in the first quarter. Weaver found a streaking Christian Harrison down the right sideline for a 42-yard score and a 21-17 lead with a little more than a minute left in the first half.

The Aggies (4-6, 3-3) were driving midway through the fourth quarter but Kevin White fumbled and Donovan Fey recovered at the Hawks' 1-yard line.

Weaver threw for 201 yards and Elijah Jennings rushed for 115 yards on 19 carries for the Hawks (8-2, 7-0), who are ranked 15th in the Stats Perform poll. Nazir Treadwell ran for a 2-yard touchdown to cap a 90-yard drive for the game's first points.

White threw touchdown passes to Nebanye Moore and Michael Carlock-Williams and finished with 236 yards passing and 52 more yards on the ground. The Aggies have lost 21 straight road games dating to Sept. 30, 2023.
