Miami secured an electric piece for the future Thursday as five-star prospect Brysen Wright announced his commitment to the Hurricanes on Instagram.
The Jacksonville, Florida native was ranked by ESPN as the No. 1 player in the nation for the class of 2028, but he is reclassifying and will head to Miami for 2027. Wright selected Mario Cristobal's program over other finalists Texas and Florida.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder will provide the Hurricanes' offense with a massive target out wide and help keep the explosive offense firing in Coral Gables. Miami has the top scoring attack in the country for the 2026 season and also claimed that crown in 2024.
Beyond Wright, the Hurricanes' recruiting class for next year includes the No. 4 player in the country, A'mir Sears, and the nation's eighth-ranked receiver in Nick Lennear.
