Ex-Auburn WR Coleman commits to Texas
Former Auburn wide receiver Cam Coleman is transferring to Texas, he announced Sunday.
Coleman was considered the best wideout in the portal. He was a five-star recruit in the 2024 class and was ranked fifth in the ESPN 300.
The 19-year-old spent two years with the Tigers, totaling 93 receptions for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns. His best game in 2025 came against Vanderbilt on Nov. 8, when he racked up 10 receptions for 143 yards and a score.
Coleman will join a Texas offense that ranked seventh in the SEC in passing yards per game last season. Arch Manning, Texas' starting quarterback who led the Longhorns to a 10-3 record, is reportedly returning for the 2026 campaign.
After a slow start to the year, Manning took off down the stretch. Most recently, he orchestrated a 376-yard, four-touchdown performance against Michigan in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on New Year's Eve.
