Oregon lands commitment from 5-star edge rusher
Five-star edge rusher Richard Wesley committed to Oregon on Saturday, he told On3's Hayes Fawcett.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound defender chose the Ducks over Texas, Ohio State, and Texas A&M.
"Since the jump, Oregon has been showing me love," Wesley said, according to On3's Hunter Sheldon. "I talk to coaches almost every day, they text me all the time, and they were begging me for the prom pictures Saturday night. I love the feeling there, and I love everything there."
Wesley has played his last two seasons at Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California. He's produced 27.5 tackles for loss and 18.5 sacks across 24 contests during that stretch, according to maxpreps.com.
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning jumped into a pool with Wesley after the edge rusher announced his commitment.
