4-star RB Anthony Rogers joins Ohio State after Alabama decommit
Ohio State added Anthony Rogers to its 2025 class on Wednesday, two weeks after the nation's fourth-ranked running back decommitted from Alabama.
Rodgers initially committed to the Crimson Tide in June before re-opening his recruitment and landing on the Buckeyes.
"It was getting close to signing day, and I just wanted to make sure I'm making the best decision for me on where I'll be at for the next three or four years," Rogers told ESPN's Eli Lederman about deciding to back off his pledge to Alabama. "I'm looking for a place with a good environment, good coaching staff. Somewhere that I'll fit in before I go to the NFL."
The Montgomery native ranks No. 97 in the 2025 ESPN 300. Rogers is also the latest example of Ohio State's impressive pull for southern high school players, as it has commitments from three of the top nine players in the state of Alabama.
