Texas tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders is foregoing the remainder of his college eligibility to enter the NFL draft, the pass-catcher told ESPN's Pete Thamel on Saturday.

Sanders is widely viewed as the No. 2 tight end in the class behind Georgia's Brock Bowers and is expected to be selected in the draft's first few rounds.

The junior hauled in 45 receptions for 682 yards and a pair of touchdowns in 14 games with the Longhorns in 2023. The 20-year-old led all of Texas' receivers with 75 yards on six receptions in the team's loss to Washington in the Sugar Bowl.

The 6-foot-4, 256-pounder finishes his collegiate career with 1,295 yards and seven touchdowns on 99 receptions. His yardage and receptions rank 26th and tied for 20th in program history, respectively.
