Alabama head coach Nick Saban has heard from a lot of angry college football fans following the Crimson Tide's inclusion in the College Football Playoff.

Saban revealed during Alabama's awards banquet Sunday night that he received hundreds of phone calls - most of which came from Florida State supporters - after the CFP participants were announced, according to Tony Tsoukalas of Tide Illustrated.

"I've had probably over 250 anonymous callers today, calling me every name in the book, talking about how we shouldn't be in the playoff," Saban told his players. "So we still have naysayers out there. We still have players who don't believe in us.

"Most of these people are from Florida. I don't know how in the hell they got my number, but it is out there."

Despite Florida State going 13-0 and winning the ACC title, the CFP selection committee left the Seminoles out of the four-team field in favor of Alabama. CFP selection chair Boo Corrigan told ESPN the decision came down to Florida State being "a different team" after losing quarterback Jordan Travis to injury.

Alabama faces Michigan in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.
