Uiagalelei confirms transfer to Oregon State
Former Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei confirmed Saturday that he is transferring to Oregon State.
The former four-star passer entered the transfer portal following two full seasons as Clemson's starter. Across those two campaigns and another nine appearances as a freshman, Uiagalelei totaled 5,881 passing yards, 36 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions. He also contributed 913 yards and 15 scores on the ground.
The Tigers went 11-2 this season, but Uiagalelei was benched in favor of Cade Klubnik for the ACC championship game. The demotion came after a poor performance in a 31-30 loss to rival South Carolina, where Uiagalelei completed 9 of 23 attempts for 99 yards, a touchdown, and a pick.
Oregon State finished its 2022 campaign at 10-3 with an offense that averaged 32.2 points and 396 yards per game.
