Ex-Tennessee LB To'oto'o transferring to Alabama
Former Tennessee outside linebacker Henry To'oto'o announced Saturday that he's transferring to Alabama.
To'oto'o entered the transfer portal in January and was one of several players to leave the Volunteers following head coach Jeremy Pruitt's firing.
The young defender is a former top-50 recruit. He was ESPN's fourth-ranked player at his position in the 2019 class.
To'oto'o played in nine games for Tennessee last season, amassing 7.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception.
The NCAA recently approved a new rule that allows student-athletes to transfer and become immediately eligible without needing a waiver. However, the SEC still enforces a rule stating players that move within the conference must sit out a year.
League members are expected to vote to potentially update the rule in the coming weeks, leaving To'oTo'o's status for the 2021 campaign up in the air.
