Ohio State will be shorthanded for the College Football Playoff title game.
Defensive end Tyreke Smith, defensive tackle Tommy Togiai, and kicker Blake Haubeil won't play versus Alabama on Monday, the school announced, per Ralph Russo of The Associated Press.
Togiai's absence will be significant as the Buckeyes try to slow down Crimson Tide running back Najee Harris. Smith has registered multiple pressures in every game this season, while Haubeil is a perfect 24-for-24 on extra points and 5-for-7 on field goals this season.
