A banner year for Alabama, which includes a conference championship and the College Football Playoff No. 1 seed, got even better with Tuesday's SEC Football Awards.
Wide receiver DeVonta Smith took home Offensive Player of the Year, cornerback Patrick Surtain II captured Defensive Player of the Year, and Nick Saban was named Coach of the Year.
Smith dominated opposing defenses all season long, leading the FBS with 1,511 receiving yards on 98 catches to go along with 18 total touchdowns across 11 games. Surtain shined in coverage, notching one interception, two tackles for loss, seven pass breakups, and one defensive touchdown.
Saban captured SEC Coach of the Year honors for the third time with Alabama - fourth overall - and his first since 2016 following an undefeated campaign.
The Crimson Tide led the conference with nine representatives on the All-SEC first team. Running back Najee Harris, linebacker Dylan Moses, and defensive lineman Christian Barmore were among those.
Quarterback Mac Jones was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year and offensive linemen Alex Leatherwood and Landon Dickerson won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy.
Alabama will take on Notre Dame in the CFP semifinals on Jan. 1 as Saban looks for his seventh national title with the program.
