Florida tight end Kyle Pitts will enter the NFL draft and forgo a bowl game, he announced Sunday.

Pitts, who is arguably the best tight end in the country, is widely projected to be a first-round pick in 2021. He began generating NFL buzz as a sophomore after breaking out with 649 yards and five touchdowns in 2019.

The Philadelphia native bids farewell to the Gators after notching seven receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown in the program's 52-46 SEC championship game loss to Alabama. Pitts finishes his junior campaign with 770 yards and a team-high 12 touchdowns over nine appearances.

Florida could look drastically different on offense in 2021, with quarterback Kyle Trask and top wideouts Kadarius Toney and Trevon Grimes currently winding down their senior seasons.
