Florida star tight end Kyle Pitts is out for Saturday's game against Arkansas and also likely to miss next week's matchup with Vanderbilt due to a concussion, head coach Dan Mullen announced.
"That's a big loss for us," said Mullen. "That's a multiple-week deal for him. Hopefully, we'll get him back later on down the road this season.
"The injury that he got in that hit that he got last week, a little bit more complicated than you originally would think. He's getting healthy for us, and we'll get him back later on in the season."
Pitts racked up eight touchdown catches in five games this season to establish himself as arguably the country's top tight end. He has 24 catches for 414 yards.
The junior pass-catcher took a shot to the helmet from Georgia defensive back Lewis Cine on a deep pass attempt in the second quarter of last week's game.
