Following reports that running back Kylin Hill is expected to opt out of the 2020 season to focus on preparing for next year's NFL draft, Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach announced Wednesday that three other players left the program, according to AL.com's Matt Zenitz.

Those players are wide receiver Tyrell Shavers and defensive linemen Tre Lawson and Jamari Stewart.

Leach failed to give an official update on Hill's status but stated, "What I've heard is that he's opting out and preparing for the NFL," per Zenitz.

"I'd surprised if we don't lose more. ... If you're stunned or nervous, you better brace yourself because we might lose more," Leach added.

Leach's first campaign with the Bulldogs has been an eventful one thus far. After topping reigning national champions LSU in the season opener, Mississippi State lost three in a row to Arkansas, Kentucky, and Texas A&M.

The 59-year-old warned a "purge" could be coming for his roster following its loss to Kentucky.

Mississippi State's next game is scheduled for Saturday against Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
