Air Force will pay tribute to the Tuskegee Airmen with special uniforms for its Oct. 3 matchup against Navy.

The uniform includes several nods to the Tuskegee Airmen, who were the first African American military aviators in the U.S. Army Air Corps. The Airmen's P-51 aircraft and squadron patches are featured on the helmet, while the group's Red Tails nickname appears on the back of the jersey.

The uniform is the latest edition in the Air Power Legacy Series, which was started in 2016 to honor the Air Force's history.
