Big Ten football is back, and so is one of Ohio State's premier players.

Shaun Wade will be opting back in for the season since the conference has changed course with plans to return in late October, announced Thursday. The star cornerback had initially declared for the NFL draft when it appeared the Big Ten would attempt to play in the spring due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Wade becomes the second key Ohio State player to return after previously opting out, joining All-American guard Wyatt Davis, who announced his decision Wednesday.

The returns of Wade and Davis are significant developments for a Buckeyes team with national title aspirations. Wade tallied one interception, two sacks, and two forced fumbles starting 11 games last season.
