Thursday marked the first highlight of the 2020 college football season, at least for our wallets.

After we blanked last weekend, Miami (-13.5) covered against UAB. We showcased the ACC program as one you should buy low on for Week 2, and it came through with a 17-point victory.

Let's keep the momentum going Saturday. Here are the best bets on the board.

Tulane at South Alabama (-10, 52.5)

I've played -9 and -9.5 on Tulane and wouldn't mind grabbing -10, as the number should close at -10.5 or -11.

South Alabama won outright as a 12.5-point underdog to Southern Miss last weekend, but I'm not buying the performance. The Jaguars totaled 526 yards, but there were obvious errors made by a Golden Eagles team that didn't seem focused - its head coach literally packed his bags and quit after the loss.

Tulane's a good bet as a favorite, as head coach Willie Fritz has covered eight of the last nine when giving points. Look for a unit that posted 238.7 rushing yards per game in 2019 to take control early and never look back.

Pick: Tulane -10

Arkansas State at Kansas State (-12, 54.5)

Arkansas State finished No. 23 in the nation in scoring offense a season ago when it registered 33.1 points per game. After just one week of the 2020 season, I'd bet the program doesn't crack the top 25.

Head coach Blake Anderson needs to pick a starting quarterback and stick with them; flip-flopping between Layne Hatcher and Logan Bonner in the opener was useless, especially when the former is the much better candidate to lead the offense.

In the skill corps, the Red Wolves really miss third-team AP All-American wide receiver Omar Bayless. Fellow wideout Jonathan Adams has become the go-to option on the perimeter, but that's about all the tricks this offense has up its sleeve at this point.

Kansas State's defense has been tested over the years in the high-flying Big 12 and should enter this contest with an appropriate game plan. Bet the Wildcats to hold Arkansas State at bay on the scoreboard.

Pick: Arkansas State team total under 21.5

2020 record: 0-2
