Report: 5-star Georgia freshman Jones injured in motorcycle accident
Georgia freshman offensive lineman Broderick Jones recently sustained a lower leg injury in a motorcycle accident, according to Jake Rowe of Dawgs247 and Brad Crawford of 247Sports.
Details surrounding the accident aren't known, and Georgia has yet to comment on the report. Jones' injury isn't believed to be serious, but it could reportedly force him to miss games early in the upcoming campaign, should it begin on time.
Jones was a five-star recruit in the 2020 cycle and the No. 9 overall prospect in the ESPN 300. He was ranked as the top offensive lineman in his class.
The towering tackle was expected to start for the Bulldogs after left tackle Andrew Thomas and right tackle Isaiah Wilson were both selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
