The Ohio State athletics department has paused all voluntary workouts after recent COVID-19 testing of student-athletes on seven teams.
The school's football team, men's and women's basketball teams, field hockey program, and men's and women's volleyball squads will now suspend activities.
"The health and safety of our student-athletes is always our top priority," the athletics department said in a statement.
Ohio State didn't share the testing numbers.
