Mississippi State running back Kylin Hill issued an ultimatum Monday, demanding that the state flag be changed.

Mississippi's flag is the only one in the United States that still incorporates the Confederate battle flag, which has strong ties to white supremacy and racism.
"Unlike rest I was born in this state and I know what the flag mean," Hill wrote in a follow-up tweet.
The Mississippi government considered redesigning the flag in 2001, but a state referendum fell short. The conversation has surfaced once again amid worldwide protests against systemic racism.
Hill was one of the most productive running backs in the nation last year, rushing for 1,350 yards and 10 touchdowns. He returned to Mississippi State for his senior campaign after considering an early jump to the NFL draft.
Hill was born and raised in Columbus, Mississippi.
