Reggie Bush's ban from USC could soon come to an end.

Bush is in the process of finalizing an agreement that would reinstate him with the university, a source told ESPN's Kyle Bonagura.

USC was ordered to disassociate from the star running back on June 10, 2010, after an investigation found that Bush and his family received benefits during his time at the school.

However, the NCAA Committee on Infractions adopted a rule in 2017 that limits disassociations to 10 years. Schools can then determine whether to extend the ban or end it.

USC faced a two-year postseason ban and was stripped of scholarships due to the Bush scandal. The Trojans were forced to vacate their 2004 BCS national championship and Bush lost his Heisman Trophy from the 2005 season.

Bush returned to the USC campus only as a broadcaster for FOX Sports during the last 10 years.

"It was a horrible feeling, one of the worst feelings in the world," Bush said in May to Bruce Feldman of The Athletic.

He added: "I'm still not over that. It's just something you learn to live with."
